River Vyrnwy-Great Dyfryd - It has come to my attention that the Environment Agency is to commence major flood prevention work on our stretch of water. Due to health and safety reasons officially the access to the river will be closed to all anglers during the day. After speaking to the EA and with agreement you may fish after 6.00pm with care and common sense. If I get any issues fed back to me by the site manager about anglers ignoring this agreement, I will be forced to close the water totally to all anglers for the duration of the work period. The work will be completed asap. Andy.

Keepnet Ban - As you may be aware the club has had a keepnet ban on the Top Pool at Garth Pools, Guilsfield. This has been the case to allow new fish stocked to settle in their new environment. The Ban will be lifted on the 16th June 2011 after the spawning period.

Poaching or Theft of Fish - We now have in place visits by the Environment Agency and Police on our waters at random times. I would ask anyone who sees anyone or anything suspicious to contact me on 07980 556498 as soon as you can. Please do not approach the persons involved, take a discription of them and any vehicle detail and registration numbers. As it states in your club rules, "Anyone caught without a permit or removing fish away from our club waters will have their permit removed, be banned permanently from the club and face prosecution. Please protect our fishing and its stocks.
